Trending on with Adulting - Coloring Books for Adults

I'm onto Adult Coloring Books at the moment (Courtesy of a boyfriend who thought it might be best to sublimate my depressive epsodes into something aesthetically pleasing) and admittedly, it was kind of relaxing as it takes my mind off things.

Whenever I work, I lose myself in the repetitive task - in patterns, colors, and the constant hum of approval with my color choice. It was a bit conceited in my part since the activity basically gives me the affirmation that I had an artistic eye (which I do think I have. Some times. Most times. Not that people would agree).

Half of the Medium I'm using
I did research on the various color combinations that I could use as well as tips on coloring Mandalas. It was too obsessive, I know, but when I got to it - I knew most of what I've read does not matter. What matters is spontaneity and just taking the color as how I would feel.

I generally use color pencils with coloring, though I also use colored pens, gel pens, permanent markers, and ballpoint pens. It's hard to capture the solid colors with colored pencils and the last thing I wanted is running out of pencils because it'd be too consuming to get the desired effect.

And for all I know, he's going to analyze the color choices I've used in coloring.

I do a lot of doodles. In class.
Of tress. And wriggly, hairlike things.

WIP from long ago.

WIP for way way back.
I didn't get to finish this. Even now.
Or at least, I made some modifications which I didn't like and thus, it was labeled as 'Eternally WIP.'
I'm planning to scan my recent artworks just so I could post it on my dA account but I can't seem to find time to do it.

Or at least, every time I get a free one, I don't feel like scanning stuff so I put things off to do so in the near future.
Yeah. The so-called 'Filipino' habit almost becoming a stereotype for us.

Mood swing

I thought, "What the hell."
Suddenly.
Just like that.
Kind of strange since I was just sitting there.
Doing nothing.
Maybe that's why I had that sudden thought.
I was bored.

No, I WASN'T bored.
I AM bored.

Probably,
In my everyday course of event.
If you'd really think about it.

I wake up.
Eat.
Take a bath.
Get ready for school.
Ride a bus.
Wait for an hour.
Ride a jeep.
Get in class.
Listen for 10 minutes.
Get bored.
Want to go home.
Get home when it's already evening.
Sit back and open the laptop.
Stare at the laptop.
Eat dinner.
Do irrelevant things until 2 am.

Do that at least everyday omitting the part about school.
That's basically my life right now.

Inuyasha transition

I'm feeling a little hyped today, that's why I'm posting THIS much today.
Either THAT or just cause I've stacked up things to post.
I so don't like having limited connections (I meant internet).

First Sketch that I'm able to upload.

I've had these phases in my life.
Where I just suddenly want to do this one thing.
Last week, I played guitar almost everyday.
I recorded one song (without the vocals - my voice sucked at that time, I had the flu. Not that my voice is any better), and I thought it sounded decent. Compared to how I was xx months ago.

This week was sketching.
I just had the sudden impulse to grab my half empty sketchbook and draw.
The picture here was a scanned image.
I used sign pens and colored pencil as medium.
Originally, I just wanted it to be all hair and stuff, like I wouldn't have to draw any body but then, that's just art.
I can't really tell whatever the outcome's gonna be.
(Gosh, I feel like my English isn't any good today)

Overall, I thought the hair looked like feathers.
